AMTRAK AT UNION STATION
Amtrak operates a nationwide rail network, serving more than 500 destinations in 46 states, the District of Columbia and three Canadian provinces, on more than 21,400 miles of routes. It is the nation’s only high-speed intercity passenger rail provider.
Take the City of New Orleans passenger rail liner from Union Station in downtown Jackson, which serves a route from Chicago, IL to New Orleans, LA, with stops along the way in Memphis and more. Daily southbound departures are around 11:30 am with northbound service departing around 5:30 pm. Book your ticket here.
The City of Jackson provides JATRAN fixed route and JATRAN HandiLift ADA paratransit bus service throughout the City of Jackson.
JTRAN to provide transit services - Monday through Friday from 5:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. JATRAN fixed routes generally operate Monday through Saturday. No JATRAN service is provided on Sunday and the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Bus stops are located at approximately one-quarter mile intervals along each route and are identified by a JATRAN sign.
