Overview

"Diaspora: Rooted" is a chance to fellowship with others from across the Black world: Caribbean, African, Southern, all gathered in one sacred space, and an opportunity to taste dishes rooted in history and migration and discover how our recipes connect us. Attendees will also have the opportunity to watch a short documentary that explores the stories of food, identity, and liberation across the diaspora, as well as dance to the rhythms of Afrobeat, reggae, and Southern soul, because music is our heartbeat.
