Fondren's First Thursdays

Overview

Every first Thursday of the month, Fondren transforms into a walkable evening of live music, local food, and neighborhood energy. Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and retailers stay open late and spill out onto the sidewalks, while vendors, musicians, and community organizations set up throughout the district.

Rooster's serves food and drinks outdoors with live music out front. Sweet Tastin' rolls out their food truck, Fondren FroYo sets up and The Bean hosts a jewelry designer alongside live music. Walkers brings a mini farmer's market, and Leona Blue stays open late with sales. Bands perform at The Station, Highball, End of All Music, The Pig & Pint and other spots throughout the neighborhood, making it easy to wander and find something new around every corner.

Dogs are welcome, parking is plentiful in the surrounding blocks, and admission is free.

First Thursdays is a monthly collaboration among Fondren businesses, residents, and community partners — including Mississippi Children's Museum, which joins throughout 2026 to bring programming and outreach to the event.
