Overview

The BGBB Kid’s Red Carpet Book Tour and Literacy Festival brings children a unique experience and opportunity to celebrate literacy and discover new books by participating authors.

With the focus and belief that literacy is in all things, the event provides an interactive and fun environment that encourages children to explore their literary interests. From kid-friendly red-carpet interviews, face painting, virtual reality, readings of books by authors, and more, the event is designed to be an enriching experience for children.

The Book Tour and Literacy Festival is also an excellent opportunity for parents to support Black and Brown authors and fill their children’s bookshelves with books that are more representative of their likeness to instill a love of reading from an early age and provide them with the foundation they need to succeed in school and life.
