Johnny T’s occupies a beloved spot on historic Farish St., the former home of the iconic Crystal Palace which was the hub of entertainment in the middle of the 20th century. Murals of some of the entertainers who performed there like Lena Horne, Muddy Waters and Redd Foxx show up in murals that decorate the interior and exterior of this stylish cafe.

The seafood-lovers menu’s small plates include homemade cheese balls with creole dipping sauce, southwestern egg rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, deviled eggs, fried shrimp or catfish, crab cakes, shrimp toast and wings. A Plate Lunch comes with one meat and your choice of two vegetables, plus cornbread. Choose from among pan seared tilapia, Johnny T's burger, Cajun chicken pasta, Cajun shrimp pasta, or shrimp and grits.

Lunch and evening entrees feature pan seared tilapia, Cajun shrimp pasta, the Johnny T's burger, grilled chicken or shrimp over rice, a seafood platter, chicken alfredo, shrimp and grits, and a turkey burger. Classic sides include fries (regular or sweet potato), spinach, seasoned rice, broccoli, veggie medley, or green beans. There is also a mixed green salad with grape tomatoes, onions and parmesan.

The bar offers premium spirits and a hip lounge upstairs showcases diverse musical acts in a classy showroom with floor-to-ceiling mirrors to make it easier to see and be seen. Upstairs, sophistication meets sexy in the Renaissance Room, available for wedding receptions, corporate events, or charity fundraisers. The lux venue features an elegant bar, performance stage, VIP seating, and a stunning hardwood dance floor.
