Overview
The Jackson (MS) Alumnae Chapter (JMAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, one of Mississippi's largest and longest-serving chapters of the international public service organization, invites the community and Divine Nine organizations from across the region to experience "MASK OFF," an electrifying alumni Greek step show celebrating authenticity, cultural excellence, and the transformative power of service.
MASK OFF is more than a competition, it is an electrifying event that challenges participants and audiences alike to consider what happens when we remove the masks we wear (of fear, stigma, expectation, and silence) to reveal courage, community, and our authentic selves. Through the art of stepping, storytelling, music, and precision performance, alumni teams from historically Black Greek-letter organizations will bring this powerful theme to life while honoring the rich traditions of the Divine Nine.
Most importantly, every ticket purchased helps make a difference.
Proceeds from MASK OFF will benefit NFusion Metro, a youth-centered initiative that provides mental health resources, support, and programming for young people and their families in a welcoming, stigma-free environment. By attending or participating, audiences are investing in healthier futures for youth throughout the Jackson metropolitan area while advancing Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s longstanding commitment to public service, education, and community empowerment. "This event is about more than entertainment," said Mary Sampson, JMAC Step Team Chair. "MASK OFF celebrates the courage to be authentic while bringing our communities together to support young people and their mental well-being."
