Overview
The Metro by T-Mobile HoopBus × Joy Spreaders: JPS PE Takeover + Community Tour + 3V3 Basketball Tournament is a three-day basketball, health, wellness, and community experience coming to Jackson, Mississippi, October 30–November 1, 2026.
The event begins with JPS PE Takeovers at Jim Hill High School and Isabel Elementary School, engaging students through basketball, physical activity, mentorship, giveaways, and interactive wellness experiences. The HoopBus will also make community pop-ups throughout Jackson before arriving at historic Farish Street for a weekend of basketball and family activities.
A major focus of the event is FREE community health and wellness access, including blood pressure screenings, BMI assessments, glucose checks, wellness education, and other preventive health resources. The weekend also features free youth basketball clinics, a competitive 3-on-3 tournament, a $2,000 Elite Division championship prize, $500 3-Point Shootout, giveaways, music, entertainment, and live-streamed basketball.
This first-ever Mississippi HoopBus tour stop will use basketball as a platform to encourage physical activity, preventive health, youth engagement, and stronger, healthier communities.
