At noon on Wednesday, August 19, a panel will discuss the four decades of writing and twenty-six works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that established Ellen Gilchrist as one of the South’s most enduring authors as part of the History Is Lunch series. Panelists include Tracy Carr, author of Conversations with Ellen Gilchrist; Lucius Lampton, chief editor of the Journal of the Mississippi State Medical Association; and Holly Lange, founder of the Mississippi Book Festival. Copies of Conversations with Ellen Gilchrist will be available for purchase, and a book signing will follow.
