Grit & Gratitude: 10 Years of Creativity

December 2, 2026 @ 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Overview

Vibe Studio JXN celebrates 10 years of creativity with an open studio night featuring Latrice Lawson, Victoria Meek and Lydia Martin. Bryan Akili provides the music with a set on the evolution of Chicago house music in the 1980s, covering Italian disco, Chicago's new sound, acid house and R&B influences, plus a tribute to Frankie Knuckles. This is the first of three Wednesday open studio nights in the Grit & Gratitude series, each spotlighting a different decade of house music.
