Set in the Mississippi Delta, Drinks on Me is a soulful new stage play about ambition, loyalty, music, and the price of change. Sweet’s Juke Joint is more than a place to drink it’s a place to belong. The liquor flows, the blues runs deep, and every weekend Lola’s voice brings the room to life. Owner Ray “Sweets” has built more than a business he has created a gathering place powered by blues music, strong drinks, and the unforgettable voice of longtime performer Lola. But when the ambitious and smooth-talking Boogie begins pushing Sweets to transform the neighborhood juke joint into something bigger, the future of the club and everyone connected to it begins to change.
