District Dash: Dogs, Donuts and Drafts

Overview

Jackson's only 1-mile race series brings dogs, donuts, and drafts together for an evening of friendly competition at The District. Tackle one challenge or all three — solo or with a team for the Beer Relay — and see who takes home the Triple Crown.

New this year: the Doggy Dash lets you run alongside your best friend, with prizes for the overall male and female winners, plus top male and female dogs. The Donut Mile serves up one donut per lap (four donuts over the course of a mile), while the Beer Mile and new Surfside Mile pour one beer per lap for a four-beer finish. Teams of two to four can take on the Beer Mile Relay, with each member running at least one lap and drinking one beer.

Overall male and female winners across categories take home gift cards and other prizes. Stick around after the races for a block party with live music on the green.

Schedule:

3:00pm – 6:00pm: Packet Pick-Up @ Race Site

5:30pm: Doggy Dash

6:00pm: Donut Mile

6:30pm: Beer Mile and/or Surfside Mile

7:00pm: Beer Mile Relay

6:00pm – 8:00pm: Block Party with live music

Participants registered by September 18 are guaranteed a race t-shirt; those registering after will receive one while supplies last. No strollers allowed. Must be 21 to participate in the Beer Mile and Beer Mile Relay.
