Chuckway Gallery Opening — 601 Day

June 1, 2026 @ 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Overview

Jackson photographer Charles "Chuck" Washington, known professionally as "Chuckway" and "Full of Flava," opens his first gallery on historic Farish Street on 601 Day, and the timing is no accident. For nearly two decades, Washington has documented Jackson's nightlife, homecomings, neighborhood gatherings, and the quiet portraits of everyday people. This opening marks the moment that archive gets a permanent home.

Inside, visitors will find Jackson landscapes, portraits, animals, cars, sunsets, and images drawn from Washington's own travels through the city, all available for purchase, from framed pieces to postcards. Guest artists will be featured monthly, and a record player in the gallery will keep the mood moving, one record at a time.

Pieces are priced at a range of levels because Washington wants art accessible to everyone who walks through the door.
