Old Capitol Inn

Jackson, Mississippi 39201

Old Capitol Inn exterior

Jackson's only designer boutique hotel, the Old Capitol Inn features three room types: whirlpool tub/honeymoon suites, one-bedroom suites and the modern simplicity of our standard accommodations.

Built in 1952, the building was home to the YWCA (Young Womens Christian Association) which rented dorm style rooms to young women who had relocated to Jackson from small rural Mississippi towns to work.

After sitting vacant for several years the building was purchased by local attorney, and business professional Michael J. Malouf to be converted into a bed and breakfast. Renovations began in May, 1996 and the Inn welcomed its first guests that November.

The Inn's restaurant serves lunch Monday-Friday, 11 am - 2 pm.
