Anna and Matt Flinn believe that nothing says home quite like a well-crafted and affectionately served cup of coffee.

Native Coffee opened its doors in 2020 during the same week as the COVID-19 shutdown, when husband and wife team Matt and Anna Flinn embarked on a mission to bring world-class coffee to Jackson. Matt, a Mississippi native who spent several years in North Carolina working for what eventually became Black and White Coffee Roasters, leveraged this invaluable partnership to source exceptional coffees for Jackson residents.

Through their relationship with Black and White—one of the world's most prestigious specialty coffee roasters known for innovation in roasting, sourcing, and direct farmer relationships—Native Coffee offers Jackson access to experimental processing methods, ultra-rare harvests, and even World Roasting Championship coffees that coffee enthusiasts worldwide seek.

Located in a former Belhaven service station, Native Coffee honors its Mississippi roots with homemade biscuits, inspired by Matt's childhood memories of gas station food. This simple menu addition perfectly complements their historic location, where the building once served the cars and people of greater Jackson.

Native Coffee has earned recognition from Food & Wine Magazine as the Best Coffee Shop in Mississippi, a designation they proudly maintain.
