The facilities of the fairgrounds complex can be used for almost any specific function or event.

This complex is composed of the Mississippi Coliseum, the Mississippi Trade Mart, and two Agriculture and Industrial buildings and the Kirk Fordice Equine Center, a multi-purpose arena, 2,500 seat equestrian building with livestock show arena.

The fairgrounds, the oldest in the Southeast, provides the site for the Mississippi State Fair in October, the Dixie National Rodeo and Livestock Show in January and February, a variety of Cutting Horse shows, and big name entertainers in concert throughout the year.

The Mississippi Fairgrounds Complex covers over 105 acres and hosts more than 700-event days per year. The complex is an integral part of beautiful downtown Jackson, where the charm of the old and new South blends to form a modern city with a wealth of activities and cultural attractions.
