The idea of an Art Park and Beer Garden in Jackson, MS started from a sketch on the back of an index card in 2012 and evolved into a social entrepreneurship project through a collaboration with multiple partners including the ELSEWorks program at Millsaps College. After deciding to locate in the historic and artistic neighborhood of Midtown, The Midtown Depot Art Park and Beer Garden was born with the mission to support entrepreneurship, the creative community, and the neighborhood of Midtown.
The Depot is an oasis in the heart of Jackson and is Mississippi’s first Art Park & Beer Garden. The Depot aims to support the local community by featuring local artists, musicians, and culinary craftsmen.
The Depot is for everyone – including our four-legged friends. We are a classic beer garden, art park, music venue, and event space for the Midtown community – and we want to be your go-to venue for all occasions. The Depot features a variety of craft and domestic beer, a vast green space, and southern comfort food for all to enjoy.
Whether it’s catching an afternoon football game, listening to some Mississippi music, or relaxing with friends, the Depot has something for everyone.
