Pour Decisions, Made Well

Fondren Public is a neighborhood bar - a public house - in the Fondren neighborhood, known for its rotating craft beer selection, approachable wine list, and classic cocktails. The bar offers an extensive lineup of bar games, including shuffleboard, cornhole, giant Jenga, and Connect Four, with additional game offerings such as a jukebox and pool table under consideration.

The space includes a large covered patio and multiple rooms, accommodating private events, watch parties, and after-parties for local groups. Fondren Public has hosted gatherings for organizations including the Jackson Gay Men's Chorus and the JXN Roller Derby league, and serves as the home base for the American Outlaws Jackson soccer supporters' chapter.

Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 4:00 to 7:00pm, with $1 off all drafts, wines, domestics, and well drinks. Additional weekly specials include Medical Monday, geared toward medical students and hospital staff, and a Service Industry Happy Hour on Wednesdays for restaurant and bar workers.

A food program is in development; recent special-event menus have featured items such as barbacoa nachos, hot wings, and an andouille sausage and pimento cheese plate. Pizza remains available.

Fondren Public is owned and operated by Jimmy and Jessica Quinn, who took over operations from longtime operating partner Brad Drehr and the bar's previous ownership group.
