F. Jones Corner

Late Night Blues Bar

303 N. Farish St.
Jackson, Mississippi 39202

Frank Jones Corner is located in the historic Farish Street district in downtown Jackson.

The building has been many things to many people over the years; it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as Frank Jones Corner filling station. Since 2009 it has housed an authentic juke joint, rooted in a shared Mississippi culture of good music and good times that builds to a fever pitch by last call every Friday and Saturday night at 4:30 a.m. You never know who you may run into, but you will have a great time. Boasting Jackson’s most authentic and diverse crowd, whoever you are, this is your bar.

Says one happy patron visiting from California: “The bartenders were all very attentive, fast, and friendly and the live music is incredible! We were met with live musicians at the door and the night was filled with music all night long inside.”

If you want a seat in this tiny but powerful spot, you’ll need to arrive when they open at 10 p.m. Hang out, have some food, and then enjoy the best local and regional blues musicians on the red-hot stage.

The menu includes the F’N Burger, a fresh half pound of ground beef grilled to crispy black bit perfection, topped with melty cheese, caramelized onions, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, pickles. Served with a side of fries. Also available is a wing basket, marinated bone-in chicken wings deep fried and served with fries, celery and choice of dippin’ sauce. Finally, try Dan’s Fried Gritz: smooth cheesy goodness inside, crispy golden outside (nobody does it better). Of course, there’s a full bar.

Updated hours: Closed Sunday-Thursday; open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
