Cede’s sits in a converted convenience store on Hanging Moss Road. It’s a cooked-to-order soul food spot built mostly for takeout, with a couple of tables for anyone who can’t wait to dig in. The plates read like Sunday dinner: fried or smothered catfish, fried chicken, oxtails over rice, turkey wings and smothered beef tips. Sides include mac and cheese, collard greens, cabbage, yams and dressing. Save room for the “sweets” half of the name, which covers peach cobbler, banana pudding and red velvet cake. Everything is made fresh, so call your order in ahead. Delivery is available through DoorDash and Uber Eats.
