Fondren Public is open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday

Fondren Public - 2765 Old Canton Road

A gathering place for live music, good food and drinks made with locally distilled spirits, Fondren Public is open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, and midnight every day.
Bar bites available include fried pickles, tacos and personal pizzas, such as a classic pepperoni pie or the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, made with fried chicken, buffalo sauce, caramelized onions and spicy jalapeños.

The drink menu includes many Cathead Distillery products, including their canned sparkling vodka cocktails such as Limeade, Strawberry Lemonade and Satsuma Mandarin. 4th Avenue Lounge - 209 South Lamar Street

This hybrid cocktail lounge and event venue is a popular spot for events and gatherings of all kinds. With a menu that includes happy hour from 4 to 7 pm and tons of shareable options, thank goodness this place is open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Menu items include Buffalo Shrimp (think buffalo wings but with tail-on shrimp), Creamed Spinach Dip and Red Velvet Waffles, topped with fried chicken drums and finished with the buttered cream sauce—truly a must-try.

And, of course, the cocktails. 4th Avenue Lounge cocktails include The Reflection, a smoking cocktail made with Chambord Raspberry Liquor, Cîroc Redberry Vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup; Stiletto, made with Bacardi Silver, lemon juice, mint leaves and Prosecco; and Beach Baby, with Mango Cîroc, lemon juice, simple syrup and pineapple juice.

Capitol Grill - 5050 Interstate 55 North Frontage Road

This ultra-casual sports bar has great food, drinks and atmosphere. Capitol Grill is open until 1 am on Sundays and 2 am every other night.
Food options include Fried Pickles, Pork Skins and the War Eagle Chicken Sandwich, made with fried chicken breast, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon and apple butter. The sandwich is topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion for a satisfying bite.

Drinks include everything from draft and bottled beers to many different cocktails. One fun cocktail is the Grateful Dead, made with vodka, gin, rum, triple sec, razzmatazz, blue curacao and sour mix—perfect for a rowdy night out with friends!

One Block East - 642 Tombigbee Street

Featuring live entertainment and great food in a super chill atmosphere, One Block East is open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays and midnight every other day. Their menu includes classic bar snacks, meals, and, of course, drinks.

This restaurant's claim to fame is its burger menu. With eight different options, there's a burger for everyone. One popular option is the Comeback Burger, topped with the Block's famous Cajun comeback sauce, a fried egg, pepper jack cheese and served with fries.

If you're looking for something smaller than a super-stacked burger, the Block Hot Sliders are a great option. Choose four beef or fried chicken sliders topped with jalapeño, American cheese, a dab of signature "Block Hot" sauce and served with fries or chips.

ISH Bar & Grill - 5105 I-55

This popular spot is an acronym for "intimate social haven" and has a fantastic menu, atmosphere and entertainment schedule.

One popular bar bite from this menu is the Fried Green Tomatoes, covered in a rich and creamy sauce, Parmesan cheese and crawfish. Or, if you're looking for more of a meal at ISH, opt for the fried catfish, served with a side of hot sauce. What better compliment for the killer cocktails and local musical entertainment?

The Bulldog - 6111 Ridgewood Road

Open until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays and midnight the rest of the week, The Bulldog is a local favorite for late-night grub and drinks.

Specializing in craft beer, this stop is a great place to gather with friends or by yourself. The menu boasts about 50 different local and craft beers on tap, paired with salads, burgers and both Tex-Mex and Cajun bites.
The Bulldog is known for the best bar food in Jackson, and for good reason. Popular items include the Mahi Mahi Filet sandwich, made with grilled or blackened wild white fish filet dressed to order with house-made red pepper aioli, served on a toasted brioche bun.

Or, if you're looking for something more fulfilling, the Crawfish Pie is an excellent option. It is made with a flaky pastry filled with seasoned crawfish stuffing and served on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, smothered with crawfish etouffee and comes with a side of garlic bread.
