ZooChilla, a family-friendly music and arts festival, will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from Noon-5 p.m. at the Jackson Zoo. The festival is a true collaborative community effort, hosted by Revitalize Mississippi, Briarwood Arts Center, Operation Shoestring, Magnolia Sunset Markets, Zoo Area Progressive Partnership (ZAPP), and other community leaders.
ZooChilla aims to re-energize the concert venue at the Jackson Zoo by bringing a fun, laid-back festival with music, food, community booths, a kids’ zone, and great shopping to the 102-year-old Jackson treasure. The fest opens at noon for early access to the Magnolia Sunset Markets vendors, curating an incredible roster of vendors of all types. Musical entertainment, beginning at 1 p.m., will include:
- Blue Monday Blues Band
- HeART2Soul
- Vae
- Lady Adrena
- DJ Aziatikk Blakk
Tickets are $10, with children 5 and under admitted free. In appreciation, veteran admission is $5 at the gate.
Food vendors and a variety of beer offerings will be available; the kid's zone will include face painting, yard games, the Jackson Fire Department's educational truck exhibit, and more; a VIP lounge will be available backstage and will have college football games showing. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the afternoon.
“ZooChilla is a terrific opportunity for the Jackson community to come together and enjoy a fun-filled day of music, art, food, and community,” said Andy Frame, Executive Director of Revitalize Mississippi. “It is also a chance to support local businesses and organizations.”
