WellsFest Set for Ag Museum on Saturday October 4, 2025

WellsFest 2025, Jackson’s long-running, family-friendly festival of music, food, and community, will take place on Saturday, October 4, at a new location: the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum.
Festival co-chairs Anne Karges and Charles Araujo recently finalized the agreement with the museum, marking a fresh chapter for the event. Museum leadership expressed enthusiasm about hosting WellsFest and partnering on the upcoming celebration.
WellsFest had previously been held at Jamie Fowler Boyll Park, located just across the parking lot from the new venue on Lakeland Drive. The move, Karges said, was carefully considered as metro-area parks continue to manage the effects of disease and drought on aging pine trees.
"The Ag Museum offers more infrastructure and long-term stability," said Karges. "We’ll have access to electricity, air-conditioned buildings, and permanent restroom facilities, which enhances the experience for both guests and vendors."
Wells United Methodist Church remains the founder and primary organizer of WellsFest. For more information, visit wellschurch.org or call 601-353-0658.
