Visit Jackson is offering a fresh way to see the city with an all-new website, just in time for the city’s Bicentennial year.

The site at visitjackson.com is vibrant and fluid, constantly updated and organized content from one central source for all things Jackson.

It showcases a vast collection of Jackson's people, restaurants, lodging, museums, music, art, civil rights, literature, and sports through robust listings, articles and calendar of events.

Tools include a site-wide search, a trip planning tool and accessibility features that make the site ADA compliant.

“I’m excited - from a user’s standpoint – to see all the new features and accessibility created by the new VisitJackson.com,” said Paul Wolf, the project leader and Visit Jackson’s Content Marketing Manager. “Showcasing our rich food and cultural scene, the site affords us the ability to better tell our city’s stories. Visitor or local, you’re going to get a lot out of your online experience.”

The role of a Destination Marketing Organization like Visit Jackson has drastically shifted – no longer catering to just tourists but encouraging community development.

“The new website affords Visit Jackson the opportunity to showcase our tourism partners and serves as a hub for us to carry out our mission to engage industry partners,” said Jonathan Pettus, Vice President of Marketing for Visit Jackson. “This new role postures us to invite locals, even those who believe they are familiar with Jackson, to rediscover the City With Soul.”

About Visit Jackson's New Role
Visit Jackson has always catered to visitors, but the surge of COVID-19 Pandemic necessitated the need to pivot from its tactical initiatives and revise plans that had the propensity to responsibly influence travel visitation infused with a safe public health environment consideration. Visit Jackson became a resource for the community during the pandemic. The community discovered who Visit Jackson is and forged relationships that continue to be fostered, creating stronger long-term partnerships and community engagement.
