Visit Jackson Announces Team Expansion to Bolster Marketing and Services Efforts

Visit Jackson, the official destination leadership organization for the city of Jackson, is excited to announce the expansion of its team with the addition of two new members dedicated to marketing and services initiatives.

This strategic move comes in response to Visit Jackson's role as a leadership organization expanding its reach beyond tourism and its commitment to providing exceptional experiences for both visitors and partners.

Andrea Thomas, a seasoned graphic designer and marketing professional with a genuine passion for creative expression, joins the team and will blend graphics with storytelling. Thomas will be responsible for crafting engaging strategies to amplify Visit Jackson's online presence, reach new audiences, and drive visitor engagement across various social media platforms.

Thomas has a plethora of experience working with nonprofits and collaborations with major brands such as Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and the Kellogg Foundation. Prior to joining the team, the Tougaloo native, showcased her love for the City With Soul partnering with organizations to celebrate the city's essence through culture and community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Andrea co-hosts Third Coast Radio, a statewide show amplifying independent music artists from Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. Her commitment extends to the arts community, where she serves as the Visual Arts Coordinator at Briarwood Arts Center and is a valued member of the Mississippi Museum of Art's Community Advisory Council, solidifying her role as a passionate advocate for creativity, community, and the cultural richness of Mississippi.

Amber Campbell joins Visit Jackson as a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of experience and a passion for service to her role as services specialist at Visit Jackson. Campbell will focus on supporting the organization's service efforts, ensuring seamless experiences for visitors and building strong relationships with tourism partners. Her expertise will be crucial in exceeding visitor expectations and solidifying Jackson's reputation as a welcoming and accommodating destination.

Campbell is a proud Alumni of Jackson State University and currently pursuing a master’s in public administration at Belhaven University.

Amber is particularly excited about her new role at Visit Jackson because it allows her to combine my passion for helping people and my love for Jackson. Her enthusiasm, combined with her expertise and dedication, positions her as a valuable asset to the Visit Jackson team, where she will undoubtedly contribute to the organization's mission of providing exceptional experiences to visitors and enhancing the overall appeal of our dynamic city.

Outside of the professional realm, Amber finds joy in practicing yoga, exploring new destinations through travel, and cultivating her passion for learning. These diverse interests reflect her well-rounded nature and commitment to personal growth.
