Bob Dylan’s “Rough and Rowdy Ways" World Wide Tour Headlines Early 2026 Lineup at Thalia Mara Hall as Renovations Advance and Venue Momentum Accelerates
December 8, 2025
Visit Jackson and the Jackson Convention Complex (JCC) announced today that music icon Bob Dylan’s “Rough and Rowdy Ways” World Wide Tour, presented by AEG and Jackson Live, will headline Thalia Mara Hall’s early 2026 programming on Saturday, April 25, 2026, leading a slate of major performances that also include Swan Lake, and the stage play “Miss Dee’s Kitchen.” These bookings reflect a significant moment of momentum for Thalia Mara Hall as it advances through a key renovation phase and prepares additional high-impact announcements in early January.
Under the shared leadership model implemented by the City of Jackson a few months ago, Visit Jackson serves as the marketing and communications arm for Thalia Mara Hall, including the launch of a redesigned website to support upcoming programming, while the Jackson Convention Complex is responsible for all sales for the building, overseeing operational enhancements, infrastructure upgrades and overall venue readiness.
These major 2026 bookings represent months of strategic outreach to promoters, arts organizations, and national touring partners by the JCC’s sales team and prove this unified approach will elevate the venue’s regional and national visibility.
While the venue is not quite ready for a tour through the building, renovation progress is already visible. Enhancements include new exterior LED boards, upgraded digital displays throughout concession areas, and a fully refreshed series of dressing rooms to support touring productions. Additional behind-the-scenes upgrades, such as expanded wi-fi capabilities, technical improvements, and backstage infrastructure refinements, are underway as part of a broader effort to elevate the artist and patron experience.
“Announcing Bob Dylan, Swan Lake, and ‘Miss Dee’s Kitchen’ as part of our 2026 programming speaks to the extraordinary momentum building around Thalia Mara Hall,” said Dr. Rickey Thigpen, President and CEO of Visit Jackson. “The Jackson Convention Complex’s sales team has worked diligently to attract world-class performances to Jackson, and Visit Jackson looks forward to collectively supporting the future growth, promotion and long-term success of this iconic venue. With more major bookings to be announced in early January, we are entering a powerful new chapter for arts and entertainment in our capital city.”
“The City is investing in the foundational systems that make a venue competitive and sustainable long term,” said Cherre Miller, General Manager of the Jackson Convention Complex and Thalia Mara Hall. “My team and I oversee the full operation of both facilities, not only sales, but also infrastructure, catering, preventative maintenance, and the day-to-day functions that keep these venues running. Every department plays a critical role in readiness, and these upgrades, from modernized dressing rooms and enhanced Wi-Fi to digital displays and major technical improvements, are essential to attracting high-profile national tours and delivering exceptional experiences for both performers and guests. We’re incredibly excited for what lies ahead in 2026.”
