The Mississippi Museum of Art (MMA) is offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families this summer, from Armed Forces Day, May 18, 2024, through Labor Day, September 2, 2024, as part of Blue Star Museums.

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and participating museums nationwide. Throughout the summer, free admission is extended to all currently serving military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve members.

This program is open to all branches of the United States Military—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard—as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps, along with up to five family members.

“We are proud to stand alongside our neighboring museums, the Eudora Welty House and Garden and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, as a Blue Star Museum. MMA is delighted to be part of this nationwide initiative to express gratitude to our military families for their service and provide them access to America's cultural treasures,” shared Andrea Donelson, Associate Director of Communications.
