Mike Epps & Friends LIVE!, presented by 100 Street Sam, Bear Productions, and The Wayne Group, will be in the City With Soul at the Jackson Convention Complex (JCC), located at 105 E. Pascagoula Street, Sunday, January 15, 2023, during the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend.

The show starts at 7 pm, and doors open at 6 pm.

Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster. General admission tickets are $50, a discounted rate, but that price may not be available at the door. Use code: 100ST for $5 off.

The friends include Henry Welch, Mario Tory, Uncle Rail, Melanie Comarcho, and Jackson’s own, Rita Brent, featuring DJ Unpredictable on the ones and twos and host Mista of 97.7.

WATER DRIVE

Mike Epps will also sponsor a water drive Sunday at 2 pm at the JCC.

He has invited Mayor Lumumba, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, the ladies of the metro Jackson chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (AKA), Incorporated and the men of the Mighty YE Chapter of Omega P Phi Fraternity for a day of service, one of the fundamental characteristics of the Divine Nine, the Black Greek Letter Organizations to distribute water.

January 15 is also Founders’ Day for the “Pretty Girls”, the AKAs, and they consider it a privilege to honor the r foundation of service to all mankind.

Saturday, January 14

  • MLK, Jr. Parade at Freedom Corner, 3243 Medgar Evers Blvd. | 10 am | MLK Parade route will proceed south on Rev. Dr. M.L. King, Jr. Drive, ending at historic Lanier High School.
  • Rho XI Labmda Xi Lambda Alphas MLK Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Anderson United Methodist Church | 6 pm

  • Free Admission at the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and the Museum of Mississippi History

Sunday, January 15

  • Voice of Freedom: A MLK Jr. Day Celebration at Duling Hall | 6 pm
