Visit Jackson, alongside the Jackson Redevelopment Authority (JRA), Downtown Jackson Partners (DJP) and the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) Welcomed Legislators

Visit Jackson linked arms with Jackson Redevelopment Authority, Downtown Jackson Partners and the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority to welcome Mississippi Legislators back into the City With Soul for their session at the beginning of 2025. The event was poised to impress, blocking off a part of Mississippi Street, just in front of the Capitol.

Legislators were greeted under a closed tent, complete with chandeliers and delicious bites from restaurants in the city including the The Mayflower Café, Johnny T’s Bistro & Blues, Sugar’s Place, The Pig & Pint, Trio Eatery, Hal & Mal’s, Fairview Inn, Old Capitol Inn, Sambou’s African Kitchen and Estelle’s Southern Table to ensure the legislators are reminded of the many locally-owned options there are in the city.

It was also an opportunity for different industry sectors to engage with legislators and share their interests and concerns for a well-balanced agenda during the legislative session.
