Visit Jackson, in partnership with Visit Mississippi, Visit Oxford, and Coastal Mississippi, helped bring Mississippi’s culinary excellence to the heart of New York City through a special showcase with the James Beard Foundation. The event featured an impressive lineup of Mississippi chefs, distillers, and brewers who presented the state’s rich food culture before national media and leading culinary influencers.

The showcase significantly elevated Mississippi’s visibility within the national culinary scene and helped build additional momentum for events like the JXN Food & Wine Festival. The success of this collaboration was later recognized with the Tourism Partnership of the Year award—an acknowledgment of the collective effort that brought Mississippi’s culinary story to one of the most influential stages in the country.
