Hal's St. Paddy's Parade & Festival, Jackson's annual celebration of spring, culture, and community, once again showed its commitment to Children's of Mississippi by raising $205,000 for the hospital. This year’s event, held on March 22, brought together thousands of attendees from across the state and beyond in support of an important cause.
The festivities included live music, food vendors, a children's festival, and three parades through downtown Jackson, all dedicated to raising funds for Mississippi’s only children’s hospital. The third annual “Run The Rainbow” event, a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon, kicked off parade week on March 13 and contributed more than $160,000 to the total raised. Additionally, several krewes held fundraisers to benefit both Children’s of Mississippi and Friends of Children’s Hospital.
“We are thrilled to announce that we raised $205,000 for Children’s of Mississippi at the 2025 event,” said Malcolm White, founder of Hal's St. Paddy's Parade & Festival. “Our supporters and sponsors go above and beyond, and we can’t wait for next year. We are extremely grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate and support the incredible work being done by Children’s of Mississippi.
The funds will support the hospital’s mission of delivering top-quality medical care to children across the state. This includes funding for research, advanced equipment, and resources for families navigating the challenges of pediatric illness.
“The support of Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade & Festival is helping Children’s of Mississippi grow,” said Jen Hospodor, senior director of strategic partnerships at UMMC’s Office of Development and Alumni Engagement. “The krewes brought joy directly to our patients and families by bringing festivities to the Kathy and Joe Sanderson Tower, and our third Run the Rainbow was our largest yet. We’re grateful for Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade & Festival for always keeping Children’s of Mississippi at the heart of their celebration.”
Now a signature tradition in Jackson, Hal's St. Paddy's Parade & Festival continues to draw thousands each year. For more information, visit halsstpaddysparade.com.
