Jackson to Celebrate 601 JXN Day With Weekend of Community Events, Culture, and Connection
May 28, 2025

The annual 601 JXN Day celebration, which returns May 30—June 1, will feature music, markets, art, fitness, and local pride.
Visit Jackson, in partnership with Briarwood Arts Center, The Walk-In, Jxn Run Club, Magnolia Sunset Market, Offbeat, and Skate Jackson, will organize the event, which will highlight the creative and cultural pulse of Mississippi’s capital city.
Across three days, events will span venues from The Walk-In to Offbeat, blending familiar traditions with new activations that reflect Jackson’s identity as the City With Soul. Attendees can expect pop-up markets, a community 5K, live performances, a skate jam, and block parties—each grounded in collaboration and local engagement.
“Each partner contributed their voice and vision to create a weekend that’s welcoming, vibrant, and unmistakably Jackson,” said Kim Lewis, Destination Development Manager. “This planning committee represents the best of what’s possible when we come together with shared purpose. 601 JXN Day isn’t just a date on the calendar—it’s a reflection of who we are and what we’re building together. We invite everyone to come out, support local, and be part of something that truly celebrates our community.”
601 JXN Day is designed to engage those who live, work, and play in Jackson. The event underscores Visit Jackson’s mission to foster meaningful connections and spotlight the city’s diverse culture through inclusive, community-centered programming.
