Century Club Charities continues to support Mississippi charities, today announcing a $1 million donation to Friends of Children’s Hospital for Children's of Mississippi from proceeds of the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship.

At a news conference Tuesday morning, Century Club Charities presented the check to Friends of Children's Hospital (FOCH), a fundraising organization dedicated to supporting the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s pediatric healthcare mission, including the state’s only children’s hospital. The $1M gift, coupled with over $730,000 to other Mississippi charities, brings Century Club Charities' total charitable impact statewide to over $1.73 million in 2025.“

We are deeply grateful to our Title Sponsor, Wayne-Sanderson Farms, along with our partners at the PGA TOUR, The Country Club of Jackson, and the many members, staff, and volunteers who made this tournament possible,” said JR Woodall, M.D., President of Century Club Charities. “Their commitment and generosity have created a lasting legacy of support for Mississippi charities, especially Children’s of Mississippi. The impact of this partnership will continue to be felt by countless families for years to come.”

Since Sanderson Farms, Inc., now Wayne-Sanderson Farms, became the Title Sponsor in 2013, the tournament and Century Club Charities have contributed nearly $20 million to Friends of Children's Hospital and other Mississippi charities. Since its founding in 1994, Century Club Charities has raised nearly $29 million for charities throughout Mississippi.

Children’s of Mississippi, which includes the children’s hospital and clinics around the state, provides care for nearly 200,000 children annually, serving all 82 counties. “Century Club Charities and Wayne-Sanderson Farms have provided unwavering support to Children’s of Mississippi through their remarkable generosity,” said Mary Clift Abdalla, Board Chairman of Friends of Children’s Hospital. “Their commitment has been instrumental in helping us deliver compassionate, life-changing care to Mississippi’s sick and injured children. On behalf of our patients and their families, we extend heartfelt thanks for their enduring partnership and dedication to building a healthier future for our state’s children.”

“Century Club Charities and Wayne-Sanderson Farms have shown an extraordinary commitment to advancing children’s health care in Mississippi,” said Dr. LouAnn Woodward, vice chancellor for health affairs and dean of the School of Medicine. “Their continued generosity makes it possible for Children’s of Mississippi to provide world-class care to families across our state. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and their lasting impact on the lives of Mississippi’s children.”

“While 2025 marked the final year of the Sanderson Farms Championship, we are incredibly grateful to Wayne-Sanderson Farms for their steadfast support and generosity for the last 13 years,” said Steve Jent, Executive Director. "We’re proud of the impact this event has made and thankful to everyone who helped make it so special. Today’s announcement reflects the spirit of giving of our many sponsors, partners, and volunteers who have defined this tournament for 58 years.”

Through its support of the Sanderson Farms Championship, Wayne-Sanderson Farms played a vital role in fostering partnerships and championing local charities, driving meaningful change in Mississippi communities. “On behalf of Wayne-Sanderson Farms, I as well would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the sponsors, players, volunteers, and fans who made the Sanderson Farms Championship possible through the years,” said Kevin McDaniel, Chief Executive Officer of Wayne-Sanderson Farms. “Because of their unwavering commitment, Friends of Children’s Hospital, Children’s of Mississippi, and numerous charities across our state have been able to do extraordinary work that has changed lives.”

“While the tournament has come to an end, our commitment to supporting UMMC and strengthening our community remains as strong as ever,” added McDaniel. “Through the power of partnership, we will continue working together to make a meaningful difference for those who need it most.”
