Delta Fest: Opening Day Ceremony

Overview

Spanning over the course of three days, this first-of-its-kind, economic activation festival is laying the framework for a ten-year vision to create prosperity across the Deep South with a focus on Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Louisiana. Conceived and produced by HOPE (Hope Enterprise Corporation, Hope Credit Union, and Hope Policy Institute), the festival will convene high-impact powerbrokers, creatives, entrepreneurs, policy makers, national, local, and regional leaders, and investors from around the country in a bold strategy to create avenues of generational economic empowerment and equity throughout the Deep South.

Hosted by award-winning comedian, musician, military veteran, and Jackson, MS native Rita Brent, DELTA FEST will kick off with an Opening Ceremony which will be open to the general public. The event will set the tone for the festival - honoring the vision and anchoring the intention with cultural grounding, affirmations, and special performances by Benjamin Cone and Worship and the Jackson State Sonic Boom Pep Band.
