Union Market

300 Capitol Stret
Jackson, Mississippi 39201

Once an unrealized vision, Union Market officially came to life during 601 JXN Day, transforming a long-vacant structure into a vibrant community hub. Nestled beneath the Mill Street Viaduct near the restored Union Station, the space—originally built in 2007 but never opened—was reimagined as part of the $4.9 million Mill Street Viaduct Improvement Project. In partnership with Magnolia Sunset Markets, Visit Jackson helped launch the market’s debut with a curated mix of local vendors, food, and live music. Union Market now stands as a symbol of Jackson’s ongoing renewal, available for event rentals.
