Unique in America, IMMC is dedicated to educating the public about Islamic history, art, and culture. The Museum showcases two permanent exhibitions alongside a rotation of temporary exhibits throughout the year. The Legacy of Timbuktu features ancient manuscripts uncovering West Africa’s literate culture and celebrating a glorious age of learning and empire building.
Muslims with Christians and Jews: An Exhibition of Covenants & Coexistence, is IMMC's award-winning exhibit that explores the history of Islam and showcases the world's first known constitution, the Constitution of Medina. The exhibit highlights several treaties and explores the historical and current relationship between Islam and America, from the time of the Founding Fathers to modern times. This exhibit offers an important reminder of how all people can coexist in peace and harmony with understanding and acceptance of each other.
