Masa Mesa

California-Mexican tacos, burgers, and flavor

100 District Blvd
Jackson, Mississippi 39211

Jackson's culinary scene just got a fresh new flavor. Derek Emerson, the restaurateur behind Caet Seafood, Local 463, Little Effie's, and Michelin-recognized Sacred Ground Barbecue, brings his latest concept, Masa Mesa, to the District at Eastover. This California-Mexican fast-casual spot is exactly the kind of creative, come-as-you-are dining experience Jackson does best.

Expect housemade corn tortillas, super-fresh salsas, and a menu that refuses to play it safe. Barbecue fried oyster tacos, coconut fried shrimp with grilled pineapple salsa, and the beloved Sacred Ground Smash Burger share the menu with classics like "The American" burger and Emerson's fan-favorite tamales, a throwback to his Walker's Drive-In days. Counter service keeps things casual, while full bar seating adds a reason to linger.

With a beautiful green space right outside, Masa Mesa is built for families, friends, and anyone ready to gather over seriously good food. It's Emerson's third concept at The District, and it just might be his most fun yet.
