Visit Jackson Celebrates During National Travel & Tourism Week May 7-13

We're recognizing our birthday and the 40th birthday of National Travel and Tourism Week!

Visit Jackson, which celebrates 40 years in 2023, will offer a slate of events and activities designed to spotlight and celebrate the collective strength of the local and national hospitality industry during National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW). The US Travel Association observance is also in its 40th year, recognizing the contributions and accomplishments of the U.S. travel industry.

The Jackson Convention & Visitors Bureau, dba Visit Jackson, is the official destination marketing organization for the City of Jackson.

ACTIVITIES SLATED FOR THE WEEK INCLUDE

  • Industry Appreciation Night Bowling Event (invite only) - Monday, 6 pm - Highball Lanes
  • Crowning of the 2023 Miss Jackson Hospitality and Little Miss Jackson Hospitality - Tuesday, 4 pm - William F. Winter Archives Building - read the release
  • City With Soul Spotlight Series with a reunion focus, offering advice and services to those planning family, collegiate or organizational reunions in Jackson - Wednesday, 9 - 11 am - Jxn Welcome Center
  • "It's Your Birthday" at Stewpot Community Services
    Visit Jackson staff will serve lunch to community members and celebrate the birthdays of all in attendance (because we all have a birthday)! - Friday, 10:15 am - Stewpot Community Services
  • "It's Our Birthday!" Celebration at Mississippi Makers Fest
    Free cupcakes to the first 100 people at the City With Soul Food Pavilion - Saturday, 10 am - until - Two Mississippi Museums
