Welcome Daniel Fairley, who took over at Steve's Downtown Deli in late May. Longtime owners Steve and Julie Long retired and left it all to Fairley - employees, recipes and decor.

Sarah and Alex Frisbee bought the Hickory Pit from longtime owner Ginger Watkins in May 2023. The couple said they are "so honored to have inherited such great staff and customers from Watkins."
Coffee + Books + Nick Wallace Food
Coffee Prose x Rooted — Coffee & Café — Midtown
Instead of a buyout, Chef Nick Wallace will become part of Coffee Prose with his Rooted Cafe. Wallace "combines new flavors with the classic, historied cuisines of Mississippi’s flavorful culture."

Campbell’s Bakery
Campbell's was also purchased by Jackson business partners and husband-and-wife duo Mary Sanders Ferriss Cavicchi and Damien Cavicchi last August. The baked goods have never been better!
