Get Ready to Saddle Up: The 2026 Dixie National Rodeo is Coming to Jackson

The largest rodeo east of the Mississippi River is gearing up for another spectacular year, and Jackson is about to become the epicenter of country music and world-class rodeo action.

The 61st annual Dixie National Rodeo will thunder into the Mississippi State Fairgrounds February 13-15 and 18-21, 2026, bringing nine unforgettable performances packed with both legendary artists and rising stars.

Beyond the stellar concerts, the Dixie National Rodeo stands as one of the world's top 60 professional rodeos and serves as a National Finals Rodeo qualifier. Nearly 900 of the globe's best rodeo competitors will converge on Jackson, delivering heart-pounding action in every event from bull riding to barrel racing.

Catch the Dixie National Parade

The annual Dixie National Parade is a much-loved event that's free and open to the public, celebrating Mississippi's rich horsemanship and cultural heritage. The parade features an array of rodeo queens, marching bands, decorative floats, car and tractor clubs, riding groups, the famous Dixie National Wagon Train and much more. Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 10:30 a.m., where the parade will follow a mile-long route through downtown Jackson. For the best views, grab a spot along the parade route in the State Capitol area.

Embrace Your Western Side at the Dixie National Marketplace

The Dixie National Marketplace is an opportunity for the public to shop, learn, and explore the rodeo world during the rodeo weekend. The trade show will take place at the Trade Mart (Hall A & B) on February 13-15, 2026, where you'll find vendors selling western and agricultural-themed goods, educational exhibits, and the Genuine MS Store open for business.

Bring Junior Cowboys and Cowgirls to Kids Day

This free morning rodeo event is open to students on February 17, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., including Dusty the Rodeo Clown, rodeo queens, barrel racing, and more. Concessions and merchandise are available for purchase. Register at the Dixie National website.

Experience "The Greatest Show On Dirt" at the Dixie National Rodeo

Watch as some of the nation's most talented cowboys and cowgirls gather to compete for top prizes and an 8-second glory in rodeo sportsmanship during afternoons and evenings at the Mississippi Coliseum on February 13-21.
