Jackson, Mississippi, the City With Soul, has taken extra precautions to keep our citizens and visitors safe during COVID-19 (read the latest on municipal and state executive orders here).

Our city has been recognized for a lower than usual number of cases based upon cities our size and for efforts in testing, collecting symptom data and offering aid and counsel to those affected by the disease.

We recognize that you may not be comfortable traveling to new destinations right now. But, when you are, our city is ready to welcome you and keep you safe.

Hotels Our major hotels as well as boutique hotels are following industry-standard COVID-19 sanitation procedures. Individual properties are using methods consistent with industry-standard recommendations. Consult your preferred property for their current protocols. See a list of where to stay here.

Dining Restaurants are beginning to reopen for in-house dining in JXN with restrictions. See the latest updates here. For outdoor dining opportunities, click here.

Attractions Tentatively reopening in early June. For now, enjoy opportunities to experience Jackson virtually here and here.
