Wellsfest Moves to Virtual Format
Wells Church has announced their annual Wellsfest, benefitting Grace House, is moving to a virtual offering this year.
The event had been set to be held primarily at Jamie Fowler Boyle Park.
“In light of the surge in hospitalizations and the Delta variant, we believe it is wise to modify how we do WellsFest this year,” a Facebook post said. “We want to press forward with raising funds for Grace House, our 2021 beneficiary, but believe our call and commitment to healing and wholeness of the community points us toward visioning new ways to do so”.
Wellsfest plans to stream an evening of music, an online art auction, an auction of goods and services and a pet parade contest.
“With these opportunities to raise funds and with generous donations, we can support Grace House as promised,” Wellsfest said. “Most of all, we can carry on the spirit of WellsFest in a safe, responsible manner that is a witness to the loving, caring, sharing ethos of Wells Church.”
Register your pet for the pet parade contest, register to bid in the art auction or register to bid on goods and services, all at wellschurch.org.
The livestream benefit concert will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 7 pm.
