RING OF FIRE: THE MUSIC OF JOHNNY CASH

From the iconic songbook of Johnny Cash comes this unique musical about love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption, and home and family. More than two dozen classic hits—including “I Walk the Line,” “A Boy Named Sue,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” and the title tune—paint a musical portrait of The Man in Black that promises to be a foot-stompin’, crowd-pleasin’ salute to a unique musical legend! VOICES OF COURAGE AND JUSTICE 60th COMMEMORATION FESTIVITIES

Medgar and Myrlie Evers are regarded as two of the civil rights movement's most influential leaders. In this 60th year since his assassination in Jackson, "Voice" celebrates his and Ms Evers's lives and legacy. The commemoration will include the Voices of Courage and Justice Gala on Friday, June 9. Myrlie Evers will be honored with a lifetime achievement award celebrating her storied career, and other dignitaries will be bestowed with the inaugural MMEI Voices of Courage and Justice Award. The 2023 Mississippi Invitational is a survey of recent works created by contemporary visual artists living and working in the state. The exhibition will feature works across a variety of media.
USA INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION

The world’s best dancers take the stage June 10 -24, 2023, as the official international ballet competition for the United States convenes in Jackson, Mississippi. Two divisions (junior, ages 14-18, and senior, ages 19-28) compete for the gold, silver and bronze medals as well as cash prizes and contracts. Come for a day, a round, or two full weeks of competition performances, special programs and exciting events. Get tickets.
MISSISSIPPI PICKLE FEST
