A Christmas Carol
New Stage Theatre – Through December 19
The Charles Dickens Classic, adapted by Ivan Rider and directed by Sharon Miles brings the tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge to the Jackson stage. Performances, recommended for ages 5+ for darkness and frightening images, run through December 19 with special matinees and ticket prices. Masks are required to attend each performance. Tickets are available.
Dinner, Drinks, & Jazz! Raphael Semmes Quartet
Hal and Mal's - Tuesday - 6:30 pm
Stalwart Jackson musician and Governor's Arts Awards recipient Raphael Semmes leads a band of merry musicians in a regular Tuesday night set in the dining room at Hal & Mal's. Take advantage of the menu and bar while enjoying the variety set list, which, this time of year, surely includes some festive music. It's free.
In-Store Signing | Kal Penn

Fondren Guitars - Thursday - 6 pm
Starting out in 2017 as a husband and wife acoustic duo, front woman Ryann and guitar player Jesse have spent the last few years fine tuning their on-stage chemistry. On stage you can expect to see Ryann’s powerful, gritty voice that is both sweet enough for the gospel and rough enough for the blues. Accompanying her is Jesse’s soulful slide guitar work characterized by unusual tunings.
Tacky Christmas Party
Hal and Mal's - Friday 7 pm
In what has become the most popular holiday party in town, Jackson's largest and tackiest Christmas party, presented by The Phoenix Club and Hal & Mal's returns for a 16th rendition. The legendary DJ Mario will once again be taking the main stage to keep the party going. Advance tickets are only $30.
Martin's Downtown- Friday and Saturday 9 pm
Raucous Mississippi rock combo The Weeks got their start in 2006 while all four members where still in high school. Staffed by twin brothers Cyle (lead vocals) and Cain Barnes (drums), Samuel Williams (guitar, vocals), and Damien Bone (bass). The Weeks most recent album, Twisted Rivers, released in the fall of 2020 and includes features from The Watson Twins and John McCauley as the compilation of an 8 track project. The Weeks followed Twisted Rivers with an acoustic album “Inside Voices” November of 2020 and a covers album, “Inside the Covers” in February of 2021. Tickets are available.
