St. Patrick's Festivities in Jackson

Don't be green with envy: Jackson loves to paddy and has plenty of upcoming sites, sounds, and experiences to celebrate this year's St. Patrick's Day and beyond!

Saturday, March 26

Hal's St. Paddy's Parade & Festival

Mississippi's "Green Mardis Gras" is back after a two-year hiatus at Hal & Mal's.

This year's theme, "Go Big And Come Home," is in celebration of the capital city's Bicentennial campaign. Proceeds from the festivities will benefit Children's of Mississippi, the state's only dedicated pediatric hospital and research center. Expect to see returning festival members all along the route like the International Sweet Potato Queens, proudly led by Boss Queen Jill Conner Browne. The Grand Marshal is Alexander "Trace" Armstrong Alston III, a longstanding parade participant with the marching Rude Men Crew.

The party will start in the morning with the children's and pet parades, followed by the official Hal's St. Paddy's Day parade at 1 pm. But the fun doesn't stop there; be sure to stick around and purchase tickets for the Official Afterparty at Hal & Mal's, where The Molly Ringwalds, Mustache the Band, and more will be (sham)rocking the house into the late hours.

St. Patrick's Party at Fenian's Pub

What better way to embrace your inner Irishman (lineage not required) than at Jackson's only authentic Irish and Celtic pub? A local favorite, Fenian's has been serving up Celtic favorites like Shepherd's Pie and Fish & Chips since 1996.

Make sure to try one of these stables or the classic Fenian's Burger at their St. Patrick's Party on March 26, and get in the spirit with live traditional Celtic music from Emerald Accent.
