Free Museum Admission for Military Families This Summer
Through the 2026 Blue Star Museums program, six Jackson museums are offering free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel and up to five family members from now through September 7, 2026. Eligible branches include the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps.
Qualified visitors must present one of the following forms of identification:
Geneva Convention common access card (CAC)
DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID)
DD Form 1173-1 ID card
Next Generation Uniformed Services (Real) ID card

Kick Off the Weekend with Good Company
Kindred Social Club is hosting an intimate house party mixer at the Patton House, recreating social conversations along with free food and wine. There will be plenty of ambient lighting, house music and electro pop, and a room full of people ready to connect. This is not a bar, or a club. This is a space where real conversations happen, new friendships are made, and the music sets the perfect backdrop for all of it.

Rooftop Vibes All Weekend Long
The Memorial holiday weekend at Trio means Zaza Sky Lounge is open and music, drinks, and positive vibes are being served. It's a day party filled with barbecue, drink specials, and spins by DJ King Dream.

Saturday Events Around the City
The TrailRiders of MS are hosting the Memorial Weekend TrailRide at Grants Field. There will be free food and drinks while they last. All four-wheelers, ATVs, and horses are welcome. Tickets are available for presale at Eventbrite, or $20 cash only at the gate.
