As fall draws near, the concert schedule in Jackson is jam-packed with vibrant sounds, flowing beats and colorful lyrics.
With two dozen concerts across the venues, music lovers can enjoy rock, country, rhythm and blues, soul and more. Here are just a few of the great choices:

SEPTEMBER
September 16
You might think you've wandered into the Hotel California if you come out to hear The Long Run (America's Favorite Tribute to the Eagles)! Band members have performed with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, Eddie Money, Beach Boys, .38 Special, Doobie Brothers and Trace Adkins, to name a few. Reproducing the energy, vocal sound and guitar technique that made the Eagles great, these five voices blending will please even the most critical Eagles fans until "Hell Freezes Over." September 24
Winston Ramble is a homegrown folk-rock n roll band based in Birmingham, Alabama. With members originally hailing from the free state of Winston County, Alabama, the band aims to interject the raw expression of rock-n-roll into the feel-good vibes of acoustic music. Get ready to ramble at Martin's Downtown @ 10 p.m. Tickets are $10.
September 27
Nikki Lane two-steps through Duling Hall on her Denim and Diamonds Tour. The Nashville singer belts out a boisterous collection of fire-cracking "outlaw country" lyrics. Her Loretta Lynn/Emmylou Harris-style vocals deliver tales of life on the road, small-town gossip and female empowerment. GA advance tickets start at $20.

Jazz lovers won't want to miss the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, coming this fall to Duling Hall. The soul-jazz concoction goes straight to your heart (and head) and makes your body break out in a sweat. Live, the trio's fiery and intuitive chemistry is unstoppable, brimming with improvisation, instant composition, imaginative takes on classic tunes, and a booty-shaking back catalog of soulful gems. Thalia Mara Hall hosts rhythm and blues heavyweights Tucka, Willie Clayton & Ms. Jody. Lovers of funk and soul will enjoy the silky caress of Tucka "The King of Swing" James' vocal style and his laid-back persona, which die-hard fans call "smooth, cool and friendly." October 6
Red Not Chili Peppers pay tribute to the ultimate funk rock quartet – a band that transcended three decades of chart-topping success and developed one of the largest die-hard followings in the world. Come and be reminded of the hits and high-energy performances that brought the Chili Peppers international acclaim. A unique and high-energy live music tribute experience! October 15
Jon Spencer & The Hitmakers (members of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Sonic Youth, Elliott Smith & Pussy Galore) are coming to Martin's Downtown. Jon Spencer is back! Often imitated, never duplicated, the original NYC underground-rock legend returns with 12 red-hot hits, each more powerful than the last! A wizard's brew of rhythm and blues and subversive dance grooves, weaponized with sci-fi skronk and industrial attitude, calibrated for the Revolution, it's a ball-peen hammer of sound guaranteed to destroy any post-modern hangover. Formed in Washington State in 1983, the Melvins have played rock for nearly four decades. (Their early work was crucial for developing grunge, doom and sludge metal.) Usually a trio, they also sometimes appear as a quartet with either two drummers or two bassists. Catch a show on The Electric Roach Tour at Duling Hall. GA tickets start at $25.

Rock Eupora – Mississippi-bred, Nashville-based artist Clayton Waller – has always been a heart-on-your-sleeve musical endeavor. From his earliest recordings, Waller has asked the big, searching questions. Featuring singable, fuzzed-out guitar hooks and stuck-in-your-head-all-afternoon choruses, the discography of Rock Eupora suggests high-energy, harmony-laden early Beatles. This is an album release show featuring special guest Carver Commodore. GA tickets at Duling Hall start at $15.
October 22
Formed in Georgia in 2012, The Orange Constant creates vintage rock with a contemporary twist. The group's sound ranges from southern psychedelia to progressive composition— all with a spontaneous yet pop-like sensibility. With its rich vocal harmonies, hooky riffing and concise songwriting, the group's album "Peel" captures the band's most current sound. Tickets for the show at Martin's Downtown start at $12.
